Editorial Comment:

Only in baby-boom America would paying off debt be considered
an impediment to a healthy economy.  Only in "entitled" America
would denial of credit to those who might be challenged to pay
the loan back be considered an "obstacle".

How about changing the headline to:

"National debt levels are shrinking,
creating strong and sustainable
foundation for economic recovery
and well-being."

Go ahead, call me a dreamer.
