One reason why one shouldn't.........

.......expect change anytime soon in the residential housing world.













If I'm reading this chart from Calculated Risk correctly, it
appears that there is no equity - none-  in 29% of all houses
with mortgages on them.  10% of the houses with mortgages
have 25% (or more) negative equity.  Unitl this gaping wound
in the marketplace begins to heal, expect home prices to
continue to move  slightly downward or sideways.  As always,
all markets are local and your results may vary.
