Malcolm X delivered in Detroit, Michigan. Titled
Message to the Grass Roots, this speech clearly shows him at odds with the other civil rights leaders of the day. Malcolm traveled widely in Europe and Africa in the early 1960s. Who knows what his impact would have been had he not been assassinated in February of 1965?
