    Annie Haslam's voice always brings a tear to my eye.

    I had the privilege of seeing Renaissance in the late 1970's at Woolsey Hall, Yale University's concert hall. It's a small venue; my group was in the first balcony, only about fifty feet to the right of the stage. The show started late due to some technical issues. Their opening song was "Can You Hear Me?" At the point where Haslam does a short wordless part, her mike cut out, but we could hear her clearly over the band. The technical glitch was fixed quickly, but that impressed me!
